I bought this kit because I lost my DS charger. I figured a second charger and a spare battery can't hurt to have around.

The chargers work and do what they're supposed to. They've been charging fine for 3+ years.

My battery died a month ago in the DS. I started to look for a replacement when I remembered this one I had purchased so long ago. I dug it out of its hiding place, removed the battery cover on the DS and swapped batteries. I plugged it in, got the orange light indicating an active charge, then it disappeared. I took the battery out, put it back in. Orange light for one second, then gone.

I went through every action I could think of. I switched batteries back and forth. Changed outlets. Tried switching plugged in and unplugged. Tried pushing the battery towards the contacts, tried altering the contacts to see if they just weren't reaching. Tried charging overnight in case it needed some break-in period. Nothing worked.

I emailed dreamGEAR to see what advice they had and what support I could get from them. It's been probably 3 or 4 weeks and I haven't heard a peep from them. So much for support.

I'll be looking for a new battery now. Shame.

If you're looking for a good price on 2 chargers, this is probably a good buy. If you're looking for a replacement battery, you might want to look elsewhere. -- Chargers work, Battery doesn't. Support is non-existant

Bought a couple of DS lites in sales. One didn't have DC. One didn't have AC. Two stones with one package. Work perfect. Nice to have the extra battery. -- Can't leave home without them

The car charger has blue light in it, which is quite cool-looking. Overall, the whole package is very well-made. -- Very good quality
